Senior citizens' day

PANAJI: The State will observe international day for senior citizen on October 1, with a function at 11.30 am at Hotel Fidalgo, Panaji. During the function selected 12 outstanding senior citizens will be felicitated with a memento, shawl and coconut.

The chief minister will be the chief guest while minister for Social Welfare and Panaji MLA will be the special invitees.

Partial closure of Borim bridge PANAJI: District Magistrate, North Goa, has ordered the closure of Borim bridge for all types of vehicular traffic between 6 am and 8 am on October 9, for the purpose of inspection and recording of deck levels of the bridge.
