PORVORIMr rThe Managing Director of SFC Environmental Technologies Pvt Ltd Sandeep Asolkar welcomed Shah and explained the functioning of the plant. rLater, while speaking to media persons Asolkar stated that since the plant is one of best integrated waste treatment plant of India, Shah had shown interest to visit the plant. r“This plant has now become a tourist spot. Not only Indian but also foreign tourists visit this plant,” Asolkar added. r“This plant treats garbage received from 26 panchayats of North Goa and around 100 tons of garbage is being treated every day. The plant generates 8000 units of electricity. through bio-gas produced in the plant out of which 4000 units is being used for the plant and remaining 4000 units is being supplied to Saligao grid,” he informed.
Shah visits garbage plant at Saligao
BJP National President Amit Shah paid a visit to the garbage treatment plant at Saligao along with Chief Minister Manohar Parrikar on Sunday.
