Shiv Sena had earlier called on Manohar Parrikar to resign as CM before contesting the bypoll, but the latter has misused government machinery, alleged Shiv Sena MP Sanjay Raut. He was addressing a press conference held on Monday to declare Shiv Sena's support to Goa Suraksha Manch candidate Anand Shirodkar.
Parrikar's action to form the government was misleading for the people and it can be understood that the people do not want the current government. Hence, the people will vote to defeat Parrikar government and
award the mandate to GSM candidate Anand Shirodkar, said Raut. He also stated that close watch needs to be kept on the EVM machines as there is possibility of the machines being tempered with.
