Six ore-laden trucks stoned at Sanvordem

Six trucks engaged in transportation of e-auctioned ore from Codli mines to Capxem were damaged after it came under heavy pelting of stones at Dhadem-Sanvordem on Wednesday evening.  
The agitated truck owners have decided to congregate at Sanvordem-Tisk on Thursday at 7.30 am and stop ore transportation till their demands are met.  
According to sources, about 25 trucks were transporting the e-actioned ore from Codli mines to Capxem, when some persons damaged six trucks at Dhadem.

n As the stalemate between truck owners and Sesa Goa Iron Ore continues, Sesa Employees coordination committee met the chief minister, Laxmikant Parsekar, 
and urged him to resolve the truck owners’ agitation.
n Sesa Goa has made it clear to the truck owners that it cannot pay more than Rs 8 per tonne per kilometre to move the freshly mined iron ore.
