Speaker contradicts Vishwajit, says CM's internal bleeding has stopped

Goa Legislative Assembly Speaker Dr Pramod Sawant who on Monday visited the Goa Medical College said Chief Minister Manohar Parrikar is stable and his internal bleeding has been arrested.
His statement contradicts the claims of Health Minister Vishwajit Rane who had blamed the media of spreading rumours and had denied that Parrikar was facing any internal bleeding.
Sawant who spoke to the media after his visit to the GMC said, Dr Pramod Garg of AIIMS who was treating Parrikar, had informed him that the internal bleeding has been stopped and the CM was progressing well.
“I just now visited the CM. I spoke to Dr Pramod Garg personally. He said that CM's health is stable now. Whatever internal bleeding he was suffering from has stopped now. At present all health parameters are stable,” Dr Sawant said while speaking to the media.
Dr Sawant's comments are in sharp contrast to those made by Health Minister Vishwajit Rane who lashed out at "certain social media platforms" and "certain Twitter handles" for speculating about CM Parrikar's health condition.
It is like they are penning down essays for a competition, Rane said of the speculation over Parrikar's health condition on social media platforms.
Rane also said, that Parrikar's blood pressure, pulse and heart beat are stable and CM wants to leave for his residence on Monday itself, but doctors have advised him to stay back at the hospital for a day more for observation.
"His parameters, blood pressure, heartbeat, pulse, everything is normal. Nothing to worry about... Actually he wants to go home today and we have told him to stay back for another day for taking ample precautions, maybe a day, day and a half. No hurry, because from here, he has to go home only," he said.
"On certain social media platforms and certain twitter handles it is continuously saying, as though they are having an essay writing competition. It is not right. The CM has contributed a lot to the state of Goa and I think we should allow him that much privacy," Rane told reporters after meeting Parrikar at the GMC.
"There are a lot of things coming in the media. I have been negating it, because you are not privy to anything. I am the only one who knows what is happening inside. There is no question of any kind of bleeding. We are not discussing that. Only thing whatever discomfort he has been having, that has been addressed. He is in perfect shape now," Rane claimed.
The Health Minister also said that a team of doctors led by Associate Dean of Gastroenterology Dr. Pramod Garg, which arrived in Goa on Sunday to examine Parrikar would be leaving back for the national capital on Monday and that another team of doctors would arrive to examine "another medical issue".
