Sri Sri Ravi Shankar lauds Goa Guv efforts in nature conservation

PANAJI:

Renowned spiritual leader and Art of Living founder, Gurudev Sri Sri Ravi Shankar, has hailed Goa Governor P. S. Sreedharan Pillai as an exemplary role model in the realm of nature conservation.

Speaking at the release of the Governor's 246th book, titled, 1008 Vaman Vrikshas at the Durbar Hall of The Raj Bhavan, Sri Sri Ravi Shankar lauded Governor Pillai’s unwavering dedication to environmental preservation despite his demanding official responsibilities. The event, graced by the presence of numerous Art of Living devotees and disciples, resonated with the theme of ecological sustainability.

Sri Sri Ravi Shankar highlighted the Governor's initiative in creating a garden comprising 1008 Vamana trees and rare plant species. He also commended the implementation of Vriksha Ayurveda treatments for the rejuvenation of aged and diseased trees, underscoring the forward-thinking approach demonstrated in the Governor’s environmental endeavors.

The Governor’s books on ecological preservation, according to him, serve as a valuable legacy for future generations. "The oxygen generated by the thousands of newly cultivated plants and trees at The Raj Bhavan is a significant contribution towards purifying the atmosphere and sustaining life," he remarked.

Sri Sri Ravi Shankar concluded with a poignant message, invoking the wisdom passed down by our ancestors: "Let us take inspiration from Governor Pillai's initiatives and pledge to plant at least five trees in our lifetime."
