PANAJI:

In view of the redevelopment of the government garage premise at Panaji, the State government has decided to discontinue the procurement and supply of fuel through the existing petrol bunk with immediate effect.

The government has directed all its departments to avail fuel for their official vehicles from any public sector undertaking (PSU) petrol or diesel pumps that have automated billing systems within Goa.

“In view of the directives received from the Competent Authorities regarding the redevelopment of the Government Garage premises at Panaji by NBCC (India) Ltd., it has been decided to discontinue the procurement and supply of fuel through the existing Government petrol bunk with immediate effect,” Under Secretary Finance Naresh Gaude said.

The departments are requested to stop lifting fuel from the Government garage forthwith.

“It is hereby instructed that all Government Departments shall procure their requirements of fuel for official vehicles from any Public Sector Undertaking (PSU) petrol/diesel pumps that have automated billing systems within Goa,” he said.

The departments are directed to make necessary arrangements to ensure uninterrupted fuel supply for their official vehicles through the designated PSU retail outlets, maintain proper records of fuel consumption and billing generated through the automated systems.

Further to ensure smooth supply by Private fuel stations, the bills shall be mandatorily settled within 30 days without fail, Gaude said.
