Strive to build a new India, S Goa Collector exhorts Goans

Reminding Goans of President Ram Nath Kovind's address to the nation on the eve of Independence Day, South Goa Collector Anjali Sehrawat exhorted Goans to strive to build the new India as outlined by our President.
"I exhort you all to strive to build the new India as outlined by our President last evening in his address to the nation when he called for the building of a compassionate society full of love, concern, care for all its members irrespective of the differences and thereby honour the spirit of Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam' i.e. World
is one family. We are all stakeholders in this mission and together, we shall do it," she said in her address to Goans at the South Goa Collectorate to mark Independence Day celebrations on Tuesday, 15 August.
Claiming that the country has done good on many parameters, she said the recent switch to Goods and Services Tax (GST) is one of another path-breaking measures converting India into unified market further strengthening the budding nation and uniting people together. "Adoption and promotion of digital modes of transaction and the delivery of services is another significant milestone which will fulfill the major aspiration of the freedom struggle," she remarked.
