In an ugly incident that occurred within the premises of school at Rumdamol on Monday, a student was allegedly slapped by a 28-year old over some previous enmity.

Maina Curtorim Police station, however, said that no FIR has been registered by the police since the two parties resolved the issue amicably. Police officer Gurudas Gawde informed that the incident occurred when the 28-year person had gone to the school for the open house to collect report card of his sister. "The student and the 28-year old man came face to face in the school compound and after a verbal duel, slapped each other in full public view," Gawde said. Replying to a question, the police officer attributed the incident to previous enmity between the two families. "The police had taken the necessary action and were bracing up to register and FIR, but the two parties told us that they don't want a case since they have amicably resolved the issue," he said.
