The bail application will come up for hearing on Friday and the Colva police have given enough indications that the police will oppose the anticipatory bail plea and seek custodial interrogations of the duo.
Colva police station in-charge, PI Filomena Costa said the Freddy-Anthony duo have moved the South Goa Sessions court for anticipatory bail. "The police has received the anticipatory bail application on Thursday evening. We will file the say in the court on Friday", he said.
In the meantime, PI Filomena informed that CCTV footage has not helped in the investigations since the alleged assaulted had taken place outside the restaurant.
DJ Alvares had alleged that he was mercilessly beaten up by a group of persons, including Freddy Menezes and Anthony Fernandes, for refusing to play music late night after midnight.
