Shrimad Vidhyadheesh Teerth Swamiji compared Prime Minister Narendra Modi to Lord Krishna, saying the PM, who was also born in Dwarka in Gujarat, reflects Lord Krishna’s values through his reform-focused governance and humanitarian work, including providing COVID vaccines to countries around the world.
Calling him the “Dharma Putra of Bharat,” Swamiji said India’s fast progress since 2014 is linked to Modi’s personal discipline. He pointed to the PM’s Chaturmas practice of eating only one meal a day and his nine-day Navratri fast, saying these have strengthened him as a leader and set an example for the country.
Swamiji urged the Prime Minister to observe a fast on Ashadi Ekadashi, expressing confidence that if he does so, India could reach the goal of becoming a Viksit Bharat even before 2047.
He also said Goa played an important role in shaping Modi’s political path, noting that he was first named the Chief Minister of Gujarat in Goa in 2002 and later announced as the BJP’s Prime Ministerial candidate here in 2013.
