MARGAO
State BJP president Sadanand Tanavade on Friday challenged Opposition leader Digambar Kamat to place before the people of Goa the list of development that was ushered in the State and Margao during his stint as Chief Minister during 2007-12.
Addressing the media, Tanavade said the Opposition leader goes around saying the people of Goa had enjoyed Ache Din during his tenure as Chief Minister. “I challenge Kamat to declare his achievements before the media about the State as well as in Margao. The people of Goa are aware that the State had the worst government during the 2007-12 period before it was kicked out by the people in the 2012 election”, he said.
Tanavade further pointed out that though Congress was in power at the Centre and in Goa during the 2007-12 period, the State did not benefit in any way in terms of development. “Let Kamat tell the people how much money and the projects he had brought for Goa during his stint as CM," he dared.
He said the CM Sawant and the professional team is taking forward late Manohar Parrikar’s golden Goa dream, even as he outlined the various promises listed in the party manifesto for the benefit of the people of Goa.
