The proceedings which started at 10.30 am in the first half of the day continued after a lunch break in the second half of the day and remained inconclusive. The hearing will now continue on Monday.  It may be recalled the Additional Sessions Court at Mapusa had passed a restraining order against the media in the alleged rape case against Tejpal, founder editor of Tehelka.
The gag order stops the media from reporting on the trial till proceedings are complete.  The court passed the order under under Section 327 (3) of the CrPC barring media from covering the proceedings until completion of the trial.
The Court is hearing arguments on the framing of charges against Tejpal who is accused of sexually assaulting a colleague.
