Rajya Sabha MP Vinay Tendulkar on Sunday assured to attend to the grievances of Canacona residents by visiting the Deputy Collector office at Chaudi once a month.
Tendulkar gave the assurance after he was felicitated by BJP Canacona Block for being elected as Rajya Sabha MP.
Canacona BJP Block president Mahesh (Govind) Naik and former Canacona MLA Vijay Poi Khot in the presence of South Goa MP Narendra Sawaikar presented a citation, shawl and shrefall to Tendulkar on behalf of Canacona BJP Block. <
br />Thanking people of Canacona, Tendulkar regretted to state that if things had not gone awry by a wrong decision of some during last assembly polls, the Rajya Sabha MP would have been from Canacona and not him, in an apparent hint to ex-sports minister Ramesh Tawadkar contesting last assembly elections as independent candidate and lost.
Poi Khot said those who deserted BJP during last assembly polls are welcomed in the party and continue the good work of BJP.
