Tensions flare in Margao as anti-track activist summoned by police

Tension at Margao district police headquarters as anti track doubling protesters demand that activist Abhijit Prabhudesai who was called by Maina Curtorim police station for inquiry come out of the police headquarters.

The protesters demanded that the police arrest them too as they too had participated in the anti coal agitations across the state.

Navy MiG-29 crashes in Arabian Sea; one pilot rescued, search on for another

VASCOOne pilot was rescued while another is missing after a MiG-29K trainer aircraft operating at sea crashed in the Arabian Sea on Thursday at 5 pm."One pilot has been recovered and search by air and surface units is in progress for the second pilot," the Navy said and added, "An inquiry has been ordered to investigate the incident."
