The accused was traced in Mumbai and taken into
custody by the Cyber crime team led by inspector Rajesh Job and assistant sub-inspector Vikas Gaude after three days of investigation in Mumbai and surrounding areas.
Evidence of several bank accounts operated by the accused Sandeep Borkar has been found during the search of his residence.
Driving licenses obtained by him under different names and addresses along with his mobile phone have also been attached.
The police have credible reasons to suspect his involvement in other similar cases in various parts of the country and has begun probing the leads secured so far.
