Three persons booked in land grabbing case at Nachinola

Mapusa Police have booked three persons on charges of forging a sale deed and grabbing land at Nachinola.
According to Mapusa Police, the three accused befriended the complainant, Ana D'Cruz, a land owner from Corjuvem and took papers of 1,202 sq mtrs of land in Nachinola.
Later, the accused took the complainant's signature on the forged sale deed, and got it registered at the sub-registrar's office.
In July 2014, the accused grabbed the land and built a building comprising 12 residential flats, out of which
7 flats were sold by the accused.
D'Cruz learned that she was duped only in February 2017 following which she filed a police complaint.
Mapusa Police booked the three accused under Sections 406, 465, 468, 471, 420 of IPC.
PSI Rohan Madgaonkar is investigating the case.
