The Forest Department on Thursday submitted report on the recent tiger death case reported in the forests of Sacorda in Dharbandora, last week.

Deputy Conservator of Forests Jiss Varkey said that the detail report on the tiger death is submitted to the government.

Meanwhile, Chief Minister Pramod Sawant refused to comment on the tiger death issue stating that he is awaiting report from the department.

“Autopsy is done and the forensic report is awaited. I will be able to comment once the department submits it,” Sawant told media persons.

The highly decomposed remains were discovered in a private forest area at Aalot, near the Bhagwan Mahavir Wildlife Sanctuary with teeth and claws missing. Prima facie, the Forest Department had ruled out foul play.

A team of NTCA from Bengaluru is expected to visit Goa.
