The State government has reshuffled Goa Police, transferring three IPS officers and seven Goa Police Service (GPS) officers with immediate effect, according to orders issued by the Department of Personnel.
Rahul Gupta, formerly SP (Crime) and Cyber Crime, among other charges, has been posted as SP (North), replacing Harischandra Madkaikar, who moves to SP, Anti-Narcotics Cell (ANC). Gaurav Sikarwar, who was awaiting posting, has been appointed SP (Crime), while Shekhar Prabhudessai, formerly SP (Railways), becomes Principal of the Police Training School, Valpoi.
Nolasco Raposo, the outgoing training school principal, has been posted as SP (Railways).
Sidhant Shirodkar, who was awaiting posting, has been appointed ADC to the Governor of Goa. Nutan Verenker, formerly SP (AHTU), becomes SP (Pink Force) and will additionally hold charge of SP (SPCR).
Sunita Sawant, formerly SP (ANC), has been posted as SP (AHTU), with additional charge of SP (Women Police Station).
Sucheta Dessai, formerly Superintendent of Prison, becomes Commandant of the 3rd India Reserve Battalion (IRBn), while Edwin Colaco has been appointed Superintendent of Prison.
Gurudas Kadam, SP, will additionally hold charge as SDPO, Margao, while Jivba Dalvi, SP (MT), will hold additional charge of SP (Cyber Crime).
