According to a press note issued by the Public Works Department (PWD), the work involves the structural lifting and vertical clearance enhancement of the foot overbridge near the Holy Cross Shrine. The temporary closure of the carriageway and diversion of traffic for five hours have been planned to ensure the work is carried out safely.

The Traffic Police will have the discretion to regulate, divert, or halt heavy goods vehicles depending on the prevailing traffic situation. Informational signboards will be installed at strategic locations to guide motorists, and diversion points will be adequately illuminated during the night.
