Vasco is set to host the Carnival Float Parade on Monday from 3 pm onwards.
The parade will commence from Leena Hotel and proceed via St Andrew Church Junction, Opp. Damodar Temple, Railway Station Junction, Bank of Baroda Junction, culminating at Swatantrapath Road.
Traffic, parking arrangements
Four-wheelers from Chicalim will be accommodated opposite Taniya Hotel, Vasco.
Four and two-wheelers can be parked on internal lanes of St Joseph Vaz Road, Dattatraya Deshpande Road, Swatantrapath Road, and F L Gomes Road. No parking will be allowed from St Andrew’s Church Junction to Leena Hotel and on Swatantra path Road on both sides.
Road closures, diversions
The Swatantrapath Road (NH 366/Old NH 17A) from St Andrew Junction to IOC Junction will remain closed for all vehicles from 1 pm onwards until the parade concludes.
Traffic from Chicalim/Mangor will be diverted at St Andrew Church Junction onto F L Gomes Road. Traffic from Sada/Baina will be diverted at IOCL Junction onto the F L Gomes Road. The F L Gomes Road will remain open for all vehicles, except heavy vehicles.
No Parking Zone
Parking on Swatantrapath Road and F L Gomes Road from Church Junction to Leena Hotel will be prohibited from 8 am onwards until the parade concludes.
Authorities have requested motorists and the general public to strictly adhere to traffic guidelines to ensure a smooth and festive celebration.
