Tree falls on house in Kudne amid heavy rain

A house was damaged at Kudne, trees were uprooted at many places as heavy rains continued to batter Bicholim Taluka.

The house belonging to Taramati Gawade from Falwada-Kudne was damaged when a tree came crashing down. Firefighters later removed the fallen tree and also attended to similar incidents of trees getting uprooted in other parts of the taluka.

Meanwhile, the river level is under control at Bicholim and Sakhali. Bicholim taluka received 38 mm of rainfall on Thursday, bringing the total to 1123 mm.
