A Haryana-registered container truck transporting air conditioning units from Goa to Delhi veered off the Bambolim highway and overturned, causing major damage to the vehicle. The driver, identified as Dinesh Yadav, claimed he swerved to avoid an oncoming car, leading the truck into a roadside ditch.
“We are truck drivers who must be careful on the road,” said a tearful Yadav. “The car came in the way, and to save him, I moved to the side and fell into the ditch.”
After receiving treatment for minor injuries at Goa Medical College (GMC), a visibly shaken Yadav returned to the scene. Police and fire personnel arrived at the scene to assist.
