Two persons were injured in an incident of rash and negligent driving at Sada Junction, Vasco on Monday morning.
According to a complaint by Mormugao Head Constable Hemant Gosavi, the incident occurred when a motorcyclist, Tarnilal Chauhan, a native of Assam but residing at Thana-Cortalim, attempted to overtake a tanker.
Chauhan reportedly tried to pass the tanker from the left side as the tanker was preparing to turn left toward Bogda. The tanker’s driver had already indicated the turn with a left indicator. However, the motorcycle collided with the rear left wheel of the tanker, resulting in the rider and his pillion passenger, Sahabu Chauhan, sustaining injuries.
Mormugao Police have registered an offense under sections 281, 125(a), and 125(b) of the BNS Act. The case is currently under investigation, with further inquiries being conducted by Head Constable Hemant Gosavi.
