Two persons from Goulebhat-Chimbel drowned in a well near St Augustine Tower at Old Goa, on Sunday evening.
The identity of the deceased persons have been given as Manmesh Kunkolienkar (26) and Rupesh Kunkolienkar (34).
The Old Goa police informed that a group from Chimbel had gone for swimming in the well. The police said, upon receipt of information they pulled out Rupesh and he was shifted to GMC at Bambolim in an ambulance where he was declared brought dead.
The Old Goa fire personnel then fished out the body of Manmesh. “We received a call at around 5 pm of the incident and we were able to fish out the body within 20 minutes,” a source inside the Old Goa fire station informed.
