Two projects launched in Cansaulim
CORTALIM: RDA Minister and Cortalim MLA Alina Saldanha on Monday launched the work on the protection (retaining) wall and improvement of the nullah near St Thomas High School at Cansaulim.
Saldanha said the retaining wall which was in dilapidated condition has been taken up at a cost of Rs 12 lakh and would be completed within two weeks.
“There was a need to take up the works in the interest of the students, and also the Church had requested me to take up the repairs,” Saldanha said.
Panchas Savio Dias, John Fernandes, Josita Cardozo, AE Shekawat, school headmistress and the local villagers were present on the occasion.
