UK travellers raise uproar over delay in their test reports

The ESI hospital, Margao witnessed an uproar around midnight as the UK travellers bitterly protested over their quarantine for the last several days in the hospital and the delay in the arrival of their test reports from Pune.

The travellers have warned they will leave the hospital if they’re are not discharged from the hospital by Wednesday.

Most of the travellers assembled inside the compound of the ESI hospital and narrated their ordeal to the media how they have been languishing in the hospital since their arrival around 10-14 days ago.

A team of Margao police rushed to the ESI hospital as a precautionary measure.       Around 29 UK travellers are still holed up in the hospital while around 19 passengers and their contacts were discharged after their reports for the new Covid strain came negative.

So far, not a single UK traveller to Goa and their contacts have tested positive for the Covid strain.

ESI Hospital sources informed that the 29 travellers, who are still quarantined in the hospital, will be discharged soon after their reports come negative from Pune. A total of 50 UK travellers and their contacts were housed in the institutional quarantine and were subjected to Covid strain tests as a precautionary measure.
