Stating that agriculture is the thrust area for the government, Agriculture Union Minister Giriraj Singh on Saturday said there enough budgetary allocation made for the sector and rued those defaming the Modi government over farm laws.
While speaking to media in Panaji Singh said the Modi government has allocated 438 percent more funds during 2014-2020 as compared to earlier UPA rule.
“Modi government has allocated Rs 4,87,238 crores between 2014 to 2020 while the Budget allocation for agriculture was Rs 88.811 crore between 2009 and 2014,” said Singh.
“Leftists and the tukde-tukde gang are defaming the achievements of Modi-led government in the farm sector,” alleged Singh.
He dished out statistics to make his point clear.
