Up to 50,000 people expected to attend PM’s rally: BJP

A crowd of up to 50,000 is expected to gather for Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s public meeting scheduled in Sancoale on Saturday, April 27.

The meeting is slated to commence at 5 pm.

“It will take place in an open area in front of the Birla Temple in Sancoale. Over 50,000 party members, supporters, and well-wishers from South Goa are expected to attend,” BJP State President Sadanand Shet Tanavade said at a press conference held at the BJP headquarters in Panaji on Wednesday.

BJP’s Dabolim MLA and Transport Minister, Mauvin Godinho, MLA Krishna (Daji) Salkar, MLA Sankalp Amonkar, Cortalim MLA Antonio Vas have been entrusted with the coordination of the forthcoming event as local leaders would also be present in large numbers.

Voting in the two Lok Sabha seats, North Goa and South Goa, will be held on May 7 as part of phase 3.
