The Directorate of Health Services has extended the last date of Phase I of the ongoing Covid vaccination drive, which covers Health Care Workers (HCWs).

The HCWs whose details have been registered on the Co-WIN portal but who did failed to come forward to receive the vaccine earlier have now been given the opportunity to accept the first dose till February 20.

Meanwhile, the Health Department has begun to administer the second dose of vaccine to HCWs from Saturday.

1 Covid death, 41 fresh cases recorded

A total of 41 new cases of Covid-19 were detected from among the 1,416 samples tested on Saturday.

Meanwhile, the Covid victim count rose to 778 with the passing of 51 year-old woman from Dona Paula at Goa Medical College and Hospital, Bambolim.

The total confirmed cases have now touched 54,193 of which 52,831 have recovered. The recovery rate stands at 97.49 per cent.
