The Veej Andolan launched by Aam Aadmi Party is turning out to be a great success with not only a large crowd attending them and saying they want facilities like those provided to the people of Delhi but quite a number of them joining the party.
According to a press note, AAP has been organising five to eight meetings every day and large number of people are not only attending but also participating in these meetings as they speak on the high electricity bills they receive and even get the bills for the meeting.
The speakers at these meetings besides explaining what the AAP government is doing for the people in Delhi also highlighted the anti-Goan projects that are forcibly pushed forward by the BJP government in Goa even though the people are objecting to them.
In Mandrem, one local named Damodar Naik very vociferously said both the BJP and the Congress have not worked for the common people at all but only worked for themselves while a fisherwoman at Navelim cried out her woes over the high electricity bills specially during the lockdown when there was no business for her.
At Saligao, Ramchandra Shirodkar said people were frustrated with the political parties as they tried them with dismal failure and said AAP is the only choice for them now and joined the party as a volunteer. AAP Goa convener Rahul Mhambre pointed out that this is an indication of the fact that people are angry and frustrated.
While disclosing that over a 1,000 people have joined AAP during the Veej Andolan programmes, Rahul said people from different socio economic status, caste and creed are joining AAP which proves that the party has appealed to all kinds of people in Goa.
