In order to give a huge national and international exposure to Goan industries, Vibrant Goa Foundation, Business Network International (BNI) and Global Network have come together to organize ‘Vibrant Goa Global Expo and Summit 2019’, which will be held in Panaji between October 17 to 19, 2019.
Dr Jagat Shah, founder and chief mentor of Global Network and co-organizer mentor of Vibrant Kutch, Vibrant Saurashtra, Vibrant Tamil Nadu and many such events, was in Goa to talk to media persons about Vibrant Goa Summit.
Dr Shah said, “We are going to 17 countries for roadshows to promote Vibrant Goa. We are going to take companies from Goa to several parts of India and of the world on the roadshows. There are so many associations of Goan origin people in other countries. We are going to network with them as well.”
During the 3-day Vibrant Goa Summit, there will be 150 display booths from sectors like tourism, IT, agro and food processing, shipbuilding, real-estate and light engineering, which will showcase Goa’s capability to business delegates and investors from several countries of the world.
The event’s focus is also to give a boost to export oriented sectors in Goan economy. That is the reason businessmen from various industries will be showcasing their products to international delegates.
Nitin Kunkolienkar, chairman, Vibrant Goa Foundation, said, “In the last 15 years, somehow Goa is not getting the required attention. Other states have become more proactive and aggressive. We thought that Goa should also get highlighted at national and international levels.”
Kunkolienkar continued, “I think it’s time for the industry to take the lead and start looking at Goa from its export potential viewpoint. It’s important to connect local industries to the export markets and also with global players.”
It was further informed that delegates from 23 countries like US, UK, Australia, Germany, Portugal, Canada, Japan and etc. will visit Vibrant Goa Summit. The idea is to find markets for products and services being manufactured in Goa in these countries.
The official launch programme of Vibrant Goa will take place at Goa Marriot in Panaji on December 4.
