Three persons have been remanded to five days in police custody in connection with an attack on a 23-year-old man from Fulamoll-Gaondongrim, even as Canacona Police registered a counter FIR against the victim on charges of assaulting one of the accused.
According to Canacona Police, Janu Zore, Bombo Zore and Deepak Zore, all residents of Fulamoll-Gaondongrim, who were arrested on Sunday on charges of attacking Madhu Zore with a crowbar and koita, were produced before a court in Canacona on Monday and were remanded to five days in police custody.
Police have arrested and registered an FIR against the three accused under Section 109 BNS r/w 3(5) of the BNS 2023 Act, and further investigation is being carried out by Canacona PSI Vishal Velip.
Meanwhile, in a counter-complaint filed by Janu Zore, an FIR was registered against Madhu Zore on charges of assaulting Janu Zore with a crowbar on his left leg and left hand.
Canacona Police have registered the FIR under Section 118(1) of the BNS Act 2023, and further investigation is being carried out by Canacona ASI Rohidas Gaonkar.
