WB man held for drugs at Sinquerim

Calangute police arrested a 40-year-old man from West Bengal, but residing in Candolim, on charges of possessing drugs valued at Rs 1.1 lakh in Sinquerim on Tuesday.

Acting on reliable information, a police team raided a site near the King’s Villa in Sinquerim and nabbed Susanta Haripada Mondal in alleged possession of 1,100 gms of ganja, valued at Rs 1.1 lakh.

The drugs were seized and the accused was later arrested in this connection. Calangute PSI Vignesh Naik is conducting further investigation under the guidance of Police Inspector Paresh Naik.
