South Goa Planning and Development Authority (SGPDA) Chairman Krishna (Daji) Salkar on Thursday assured to resolve any or all issues pertaining to SGPDA with the help of the government.
Salkar was speaking to reporters after offering prayers at the Shree Damodar temple, from where he proceeded to Margao to take charge of the SGPDA.
“I thank the BJP, Chief Minister Pramod Sawant and our party leaders for having bestowed upon me the big responsibility of the SGPDA. The government had earlier entrusted me with the responsibility of MPDA and I had successfully undertaken the task,” said Salkar.
“After I take over the SGPDA, I will get to understand the workload there and accordingly, I will decide on how much time to spend in SGPDA or the days of visits to SGPDA. I have been elected as MLA of Vasco and I need to spend time in Vasco as well. I will do a balancing act to ensure that I successfully manage both responsibilities.”
“We have heard there are many issues with the SGPDA, but I cannot comment on them till I take charge and get the first-hand information. After a few days, I will be able to ascertain the exact situation and accordingly, take the right decision and resolve the issues with the help of the government,” said Salkar.
