A woman, who had been waiting for the second dose of anti-Covid vaccination before heading to the UK for employment, could not be considered for the jab after she failed to produce her employment or call letter.
The woman informed that she had visited the office of the deputy Collector, but she could not produce her employment letter as she had lost her job while in the UK due to the Covid pandemic and that no letter of employment or job calls are made to people who land in the UK in search of jobs.
“We do not get call for job from the UK. We have to travel to the country and look out for the jobs. I was told that I do not qualify for the second dose since I had no call or employment letter with me”, she said, while demanding that the government should make some arrangements for the category of people, who have to first travel to the UK and then search for jobs.
She added: “There will be many people like me who are all waiting to head to the UK for employment. We had come down from the UK but could not return back on account of the second Covid wave. The authorities should understand that we don’t receive the call letters for employment from the UK, but we have to go for the job hunt after reaching that country”.
