VASCO: Vasco Police on Monday arrested a youth from Chicalim on charges of causing havoc and damaging a petrol pump and a fast food outlet in Vasco.
According to sources in Vasco Police, Ritesh Patkure (30) of Chicalim went to Karma Petrol Pump on Monday afternoon and reportedly began arguing with the petrol pump manager, before allegedly breaking a huge glass with a fire extinguisher at the pump and left the place.
After leaving the petrol pump, Patkure is reported to have gone to a fast food outlet in the heart of the city, where he allegedly caused a ruckus and broke a glass counter, before fleeing from the scene.
Following a complaint by former MLA Karl Vaz, who owns both places, Vasco police arrested Patkure under Section 447, 427, 336 and 506(ii) IPC.
Incidentally, sources said Patkure was earlier arrested on charges of stalking a woman some months ago.
Vasco police is investigating the case under the supervision of Vasco PI Nilesh Rane.
