It was my first ever experience working on the CZMP plan. As a concerned citizen, it gives me the right to point out aspects which is incorrect in terms of environmental impact. It is a very considerate mapping although many areas have been missed out on the maps, which are critically important to us. It makes me aware of how things can be manipulated if not paid attention to and we, as concerned citizens of this pristine state, ought to focus more on this problem.

While I got involved at a late stage of scrutiny on the CZMP plans, it was a very interesting and learning experience for me. I wish I could be of more help. But it was a matter of privilege to help and be part of it.

As I am new to Goa and this is my first time getting involved in this kind of work, I found this experience to be fascinating. I came across small details and traditions about some places which are so important and somehow lost. It felt like a sneak-peek at the blunders of the authorities who are governing such large communities. Another beautiful feeling was to see so many people fighting against it, like they have charge.

My experience working on the CZMPs of Goa with scrutiny was fruitful. I realised that there were a lot of areas that had errors and not been marked while just superimposing the draft plans with Google Maps. Therefore, a ground check has to be done to meet the stakeholders who are actually getting affected to avoid any discrepancies in the mapping.
