y 19 day-long campaign has been tremendous and I am confident of a win. Panaji will not cheat me and people will elect me with a good margin," he said.
He further stated that Panaji has always led the rest of Goa towards change. "People of Panaji will vote to uphold their self-esteem. I began the campaign as a backbencher and Panajikars made me a front-runner," Chodankar said.
Chodankar appealed to all voters, especially members of the Bahujan community, to step out and to cast their votes on August 23.
Meanwhile, senior Congressman Ramakant Khalap has urged every voter in Valpoi and Panaji to contribute to the process of restoring democracy and the mandate while adding that issues of inflation, intolerance and discrimination will be resolved once democratic principles are upheld through a ballot.
Appealing to the voters of the two constituencies, Khalap highlighted that Girish Chodankar and Roy Naik are simple, non-corrupt and accessible.
