Aam Aadmi Party on Wednesday commissioned its medical equipment facilitating unit in Colva with Mina Rodrigues as the president and Emelina Fernandes as the vice president, at a function where AAP State Women leader Adv Malissa Simoes was present.
Congratulating the women for coming forward to join this initiative of AAP, Malissa asked them to take AAP’s mission and vision to as many people as possible in their village so that people know what bold initiatives the party has taken in Delhi.
“Goa also needs healthcare and education facilities as provided by the AAP government in Delhi and there is no need for Goans to pay exorbitant fees for visiting private doctors or hospitals and getting their children educated in private schools,” she said.
Earlier similar units were started in Carmona, Cavelossim and Benaulim and many have benefitted under it. While a walker was given to one person from Ollwado in Carmona, another person in Benaulim got a wheelchair.
Two persons were given hospital beds while one was from Fatrade and the other from Rodrigues Vaddo in Cavelossim who used the bed for three months before passing away.
