BJP's 22-point vision is manifesto of scams: AAP

Aam Aadmi Party CM candidate Advocate Amit Palekar said the BJP's 22-point manifesto, unveiled on Tuesday, is a manifesto of scams. Goans won't fall victim to the BJP's promises this election, he added.

Palekar said, "In order to complete the ten promises made ten years ago, the BJP is asking Goans to vote for the party for another five years. If they have not succeeded in implementing all these things in the last ten years, how will they succeed now?"

He said, "As part of the five-year plan, the BJP promised job creation. The same government has been involved in job scams that were committed in the health and PWD sectors. AAP exposed the scam at the time. The HC has taken cognizance of this and constituted a vigilance inquiry committee."

Adding he said, "The BJP, therefore, is scared and is asking people to vote in order to scuttle these things. If the truth comes out then they will go to jail."

He said, "The BJP has also promised to resume mining within six months of forming government. However, who stopped the BJP from starting mining? Their party has been ruling for the last ten years and even according to SC guidelines they were allowed to begin mining. However, they have failed to act and have given false assurances to mining dependent families."

"If the BJP failed to resume mining in the last ten years, what is the guarantee that it will start in the next five years? It takes will power and it appears that the party lacks it," he added.

Further he said, "The BJP also promised a revamp of the transport system and healthcare facilities. The same government that was involved in a health care scam during the pandemic period, how will it overhaul the health-care facilities? In addition to selling important medicines at high inflated prices, they were involved in ventilator scams and oxygen scams."

Adding he said, "It is quite evident that BJP’s manifesto is nothing but a manifesto of scams. By voting for the BJP, one would be giving them another five years to perpetrate scams and increase their assets.”
