Urban Development Minister Milind Naik on Thursday said it was not possible to have the Blue Flag certification for Baina beach completed within five months.
“There are only about five months for elections and any development cannot come up in any constituency in such short time,” Naik told reporters at a news conference in the presence of BJP State President Sadanand Shet Tanavade.
“I am not aware of how my colleague and Vasco BJP MLA Carlos Almeida has proposed the project. However, he is welcome to take up this project with the party if he feels that the project can be ready in the next five months,” Naik added.
