Calangute Police on Saturday nabbed an accused who had escaped from Kerala and was taking refuge in a resort in Calangute.
The alleged accused Omprakash was arrested while driving in and around the Calangute area in a rented car. Calangute Police was in receipt of information that the accused, a resident of Thiruvananthapuram, Kerala had absconded from Kerala after committing a serious crime of attempt to murder.
The information was circulated amongst the staff of Calangute Police who successfully nabbed the accused. The accused person after committing the crime in Kerala had come down to Goa on November 21 and was housing in a resort at Calangute.
After his arrest, the accused was handed over to Kerala Police who took his custody and after following legal procedure taken back to Kerala.
