Cansaulim man hurt after brother knifes him

A man was allegedly attacked with a knife by his younger brother at Cansaulim on Tuesday afternoon, resulting in injuries.

According to a complaint lodged by Jose Francisco Filipine Sequeria, a resident of Cansaulim, the incident occurred at around 1 pm at his residence. Police said the accused, identified as Ricardo Cornel Sequeria, also a resident of Cansaulim and the complainant's younger brother, allegedly assaulted him with a knife before fleeing from the spot.

Following the complaint, Verna Police registered an offence under Section 118(1) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS).

Further investigation is being carried out by PSI Mahesh Bhomkar of Verna Police Station under the supervision of PI Anand Shirodkar and the guidance of Mormugao DySP Gurudas Kadam.
