Archbishop-Patriarch of Goa Cardinal Filipe Neri Ferrão has requested priests, religious and lay faithful in the archdiocese to pray for the total recovery of Pope Francis, who is presently receiving treatment at a hospital.
“We pray that the Lord may strengthen him in faith and grant him total recovery from his illness, so that he can get back to actively shepherd the Catholic Church. Priests, Religious and the Lay Faithful of this Archdiocese are earnestly requested to pray for this intention,” states a press note issued by Fr Barry Cardozo, Director of the Diocesan Centre for Social Communications Media.
