MARGAO
Concerned citizens on Sunday took out a candle light procession in Navelim on Sunday to express their concern over the rising lawlessness in the state.
The impressive meeting called by social activist Pratima Coutinho under the banner of Goa Against Gundaraj urged the government to clamp down on goondagiri and mete out justice to social activist Rama Kankonkar.
Former Minister Alina Saldanha expressed her concern over the rising lawlessness in Goa. She said that concerted efforts are underway to destroy Goa and it's environment.
In her address, Pratima said she has called the meeting to send a message loud and clear to the government that people will not keep silent against gundaraj.
She thanked the participants for responding to her call to attend the meeting and vowed to take the movement to its logical conclusion.
