Chief Minister, Pramod Sawant released e-educational content (TV lessons) for Std. I to VIII in Maths, EVS and Science at Secretariat Complex, Porvorim today.
In challenging situation the Education Department, SCERT and Goa Samagra Shiksha together has come out with various programmes to reach out to the unreached students. One such initiative is telecasting TV lessons for second term in Goa Doorsharshan as well as in local channels in the subject EVS and Maths for Primary and Science and Maths for Upper Primary students.
The telecast will start from January 27 and continue up to March 31 for the benefit of the students.
Speaking on the Occasion Chief Minister urged upon the students to take the maximum benefit of such programmes for their continuous learning. The role of parents is very important to bring continuous awareness in the minds of their children as it is specially designed for them by incorporating stories, pictures, activities etc. by the expert teachers, Chief Minister added.
This year being a challenging year Government has made all out efforts to reach out to the unreached students through various modes of communications with the help of teachers said the Chief Minister. Initially it had started with worksheets, the same which is continuing in primary schools. Now with interesting TV lessons with specific learning outcomes for the continuous learning of children, he added.
Chief Minister also appreciated the dedicated work of Funminds Learning Tech. Pvt. Ltd., and its CSR Partner, M/s. United Breweries Pvt. Ltd., Secretary Education, Director of Education, Director SCERT, State Project Director “ Goa Samagra Shiksha and their academic and technical team for painstaking efforts in creating, curating and telecasting educational e-content on TV channels., as informed by Department of Information and Publicity.
