Cortalim ZP member Merciana Vas on Wednesday offered wheelchairs and walkers under ZP Funds to some people based on the request put forward by Velsao Panch Jim Dsouza.
Speaking to media , Cortalim ZP Merciana Vas extended wishes of International womens Day to the people and assured to come in support for any cause of the people.
"International Women's day is all about women empowerment and i would like to tell the people that i will reach out to them and help them as their ZP Member as well. I had recieved a request for a walker from a panch and i decided to make it available to them through the ZP funds . I appeal the people to personally call me and let me know if I could be of any help to them and i will ensure that their needs are met through the ZP Funds," said Vas.
Velsao Panch Jim Dsouza said that a resident in Queen Nagar was in need of a walker. "Queeny Nagar is a part of my ward and i got a request from a couple that they needed a walker and i placed the request to the ZP Merciana Vas who made it available immediately.
"We have also got a request for resolving the road problems which we will tackle with the help of our MLA Anton Vas and his wife Merciana Vas. We have as of now resolved water supply issues and taken up beautification and cleanliness in the ward with the help of the Vas couple who are always available when required, " said D'Souza.
