Despite Covid, State played host to thousands of tourists: Ajgaonkar

Tourism Minister Manohar Ajgaonkar on Monday said the government headed by Chief Minister Pramod Sawant will take all steps to take tourism forward in the state.  

He told the media that Goa’s tourism infrastructure has helped to play host to the hordes of visitors to the state every year. “Goa’s natural beauty, beaches and places of worship are all gifts from God. Not just the country, but the whole world comes down to see and explore Goa,” he said.  

Ajgaonkar said that Goa has been continuously winning award in the tourist sector. Despite the Covid pandemic, the State played host to thousands of tourists, he added.  

“The CM has laid down plans to take Goa’s tourism to greater heights. Coupled with marketing and promotion of Goa as a perfect tourist destination, we will be able to take tourism forward,” he asserted.
