DIG urges Goans to join Coast Gaurd

Calls Velsao cleanest beach in India

Coast Guard Goa DIG Anurabh Bose has on Sunday appealed to the Goan youth to join the Coast Guard for an exciting career.
Bose was speaking to reporters after jointly inaugurating the high mast lamp at Velsao beach in the presence of Cortalim MLA Anton Vas, Col Dinesh Kumar, Social Activist Roquezinho D'Souza and others.
"Goa is a coastal state and Coast Guard is a marine force and I would like to invite Goan youth to join the Coast Guard for wonderful career opportunities. We have opportunities for the people who have passed Class 12, graduates and engineers and Goans can come forward to join us and achieve an exciting career ahead. With a job in Coast Guard, Goans will continue their association with the sea and get to help the people and society while helping to safeguard the country and save lives. I appeal to the Goan youth to come forward and join the Coast Guard," said Bose.
Bose said that Velsao was the cleanest and most pristine beach across India.
"I have been flying across the coast of India in my lifetime right from Pakistan Border Gujrat to Andaman and the east coast till Sunderbans but I can say with my experience that Velsao is the most pristine and cleanest beach across India. We are blessed to have such a clean beach and it is for the Goans and the visitors to keep it clean and pristine as this is one of the longest stretches of the beach in Goa which attracts a lot of tourists besides many people coming to do running, cycling activities. It is our duty to keep it clean to attract more tourists and visitors and we are thankful to Cortalim MLA Anton Vas who got this high mast lights functional at the beach so that people can enjoy the beach even after sunset," said Bose.
